North Somerset Lib Dems are off to Bournemouth next week for Lib Dem Conference

Liberal Democrat Councillors and representatives from across North Somerset will be heading for Bournemouth next week (19th - 23rd September) for the party's Federal Conference.

The Conference is due to debate key issues like pensions, tourism and international terrorism as well as discussing the Liberal Democrat pre-manifesto document ahead of an expected General Election next year.

The Lib Dem delegation from the Woodspring Constituency will be led by their Prospective Parliamentary Candidate, Councillor Mike Bell.

Mike said: "Liberal Democrats gather in Bournemouth on a real high. We have been hugely successful across Britain, winning seats on local councils, in Westminster and in the European Parliament. As we gather for what is likely to be our last Autumn Conference before the General Election next year, we are in great heart.

"Membership is growing locally, we are getting our message across and we are confident that we will do well in North Somerset when the General Election comes."
